Angel Ruvalcaba

Angel Ruvalcaba was born in California and moved to Arizona when I was 12. He is a second generation Mexican American with a huge passion for filmmaking! He went to Mesa Community College and received an Associates degree in “Digital Illustration”. He later went on to get his Bachelors at Arizona State University studying “Film Making Practices” with an emphasis on Screenwriting.
Angel started his career at an animation company in Arizona called Velorean Productions, where he learned more about animation and production, focusing primarily on post production. From there, Angel went on to become an Animation Mentor with Latino Film Institute / Youth Cinema Project. He would mentor sixth graders everything he knew about animation from screenwriting to character design! Angel knew he was interested in working in Production Management and found himself in his current exciting opportunity!
Currently Angel is working at Walt Disney Animation Studios as a Production Assistant on the upcoming film Encanto!
