The LXiA family mourns the loss of our friend Edwin Aguilar. Edwin Aguilar was a 5-time Emmy Award winning animator, and was an Assistant Animation Director for “The Simpsons”, a series for which he has been a part of for over 20 years.

LatinX in Animation (LXiA) is a Signature Program of the Latino Film Institute (LFI), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to showcase, strengthen, and celebrate the richness of Latino lives through the audio-visual event. As a community driven organization, and with the support of LFI and its programs, we provide the Platform, Pipeline, and Launchpad for Latinos, minorities, and underrepresented artists and voices to be heard, seen, and celebrated.
